Masters of Philosophy (MPhil) Program – Specialist Area Options (ENGLISH):
- MPhil in ‘Ancient Israel and Near Eastern Studies’
- Applicant must submit a 10-page thesis proposal plus a 2-page bibliography of specialist area authors
- Thesis Based – must write and submit a 150-page thesis paper on a specialized areas up to the academic satisfaction of the Director of Studies
- MPhil program practicum/internship component : special academic and or marketing project (must be approved by Director of Studies)
- option to take Hebrew language course
2. MPhil in ‘Jewish Cultural and Linguistic Studies‘
- Applicant must submit a 10-page thesis proposal plus a 2-page bibliography of specialist area authors
- Thesis Based – must write and submit a 150-page thesis paper on a specialized areas (i.e. Ashkenazi Jewish Diaspora Society, Sephardic Jewish Diaspora Society, Mizrachi-Persian Jewish Society, Bukharan Jewish Focus, Jews of China, etc…)
- MPhil program practicum/internship component : special academic and or marketing project (ask director of studies)
- option to take Hebrew language course
- option to take course in another foreign language (i.e. Chinese, Korean, Russian, etc…)
BA Program (Minor) – for students who want to do Jewish Studies with their regular MAJOR
- ‘Ancient Israeli Society and Levantine Kingdoms (i.e.Egypt, Babylon, Assyria, Hittites, Persians, Romans, Philistia, Edom, Moab, Ammon, Aram, Phoenicia, etc…)’
- 100-level introductory survey course
- Practicum/Internship: special project related to student’s field(s) of study (ask director of studies)
